An 11-run explosion in the first inning spurred St. Mary's Knights Varsity to a 21-0 win in four innings over North at St. Mary's on Friday.
St. Mary's Knights Varsity scored in the first on a passed ball, a walk by Briana Erran, a three-run double by Miah Rodriguez, a wild pitch, a two-run error, an RBI single by Lauren Eamiguel, and a two-run triple by Erran. Erran racked up three RBIs on one hit for St. Mary's Knights Varsity. Eamiguel got it done on the rubber on the way to a win. She tossed four innings of shutout ball. She struck out four, walked one and surrendered two hits. St. Mary's Knights Varsity easily handled North pitching as six hitters combined for five hits, 13 RBIs and 16 runs scored. M Penuelas ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. She allowed 11 runs in one inning, walked seven and struck out none. St. Mary's Knights Varsity increased its lead with 10 runs in the third. Gabby Alcantar's double got things going, bringing home Eamiguel. That was followed up by Lizzy Paredes's single, plating Erran and Alcantar. "Powered by Narrative Science and GameChanger Media. Copyright 2015. All rights reserved."
