St. Mary's Knights Varsity jumped out to an early lead on Browne and captured a 22-1 victory on Friday.
With 15 runs in the first three innings, St. Mary's Knights Varsity left no doubt about the eventual outcome. A sacrifice fly by Danielle Ruiz, a walk by Briana Erran, a fielder's choice, a walk by Maite Bustillos, a three-run triple by Brianna Garcia, a two-run error, and a two-run single by Miah Rodriguez in the first inning and a two-run double by Mercedes Martinez during the second inning supplied the early offense for St. Mary's Knights Varsity. Garcia racked up five RBIs on three hits for St. Mary's Knights Varsity. Lauren Eamiguel got the win for St. Mary's Knights Varsity. She allowed one run over four innings. She struck out two, walked one and surrendered three hits. St. Mary's Knights Varsity easily handled Browne pitching as nine hitters combined for 15 hits, 20 RBIs and 22 runs scored. M Huergetty took the loss for Browne. She allowed 19 runs in three innings, walked 10 and struck out none. St. Mary's Knights Varsity piled on two more runs in the top of the third. The inning got off to a hot start when Sierra Urias singled, bringing home Erran. That was followed up by Eamiguel's single, plating Lizzy Paredes.
