St. Mary's Knights Varsity beat Joseph City 14-1 in three innings on Friday at Payson,AZ after a 13-run explosion in the first inning.
St. Mary's Knights Varsity scored in the first on a sacrifice fly by Danielle Ruiz, a bases loaded walk, a walk by Amber Bencomo, a walk by Brianna Garcia, a walk by Maite Bustillos, a wild pitch, an error, an RBI double byAdelyne Gomez, a two-run home run by Lauren Eamiguel, an RBI single byBriana Erran, and a two-run triple by Alexia Munoz. Gomez put herself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for St. Mary's Knights Varsity. Joseph City's lineup had no answer for Bustillos. Joseph City managed just three hits off of Bustillos, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out five during her three innings of work. Erran, Eamiguel, Gomez and Munoz helped lead St. Mary's Knights Varsity. They combined for six hits and eight RBIs. S Larsen took the loss for Joseph City.
